Wave Wave —Random Combination
 
“Random Combination” —— Nine different water waves in one piece —— The balance of nature system (Natural is full of the order and disorder)
This series is inspired by water waves. Different natural factors affect the different shapes of water waves, I used random combinations of nine different waves in one piece to show the endless possibilities of nature.

W 300mm x H 35mm x D 300mm.
Material: Ceramics with white/black glaze

The idea comes from “Wave”. When I was making “Wave”, I have improved the concept. From four different "Waves", they show the indefiniteness of nature. But the fun part is when you look each of them as a unit, you find they look different. If you just observe each wave in one surface, you will find they are all organized and ordered.
 
Underneath the appearance in full of occasional and indefinite, nature has its own order and law.
The process of “Random Combination”: I cut the four wave plaster molds each into 9 blocks. Chose random nine different wave-blocks can then be composed together in one piece. Pressed the clay molding.
